I needed a new start after being made redundant (yet again). Plumbing seemed a good idea, after all, no water no civilisation ! The College helped me every step of the way and I was put at ease right from the start. I joined The Guild of Master Plumbers when I finished the course and the technical helpline has proved to be very helpful.

Getting customers was not as difficult as I thought, they just want the job done with the least amount of mess, they want me to arrive on time, do the work to the required Building Regulations, and charge a decent price. The College showed me how much to charge and how to operate my business, they even included free accountancy advice with again a friendly helpline. This is definitely the way forward for me, every day is different, I get to meet different and interesting people who value my work and pay me a good sum of money for the job that I do. Priceless.
